In 2017 nearly 2.30 million cases of Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Syphilis were diagnosed in America. This surpasses the 2016 figure by roughly 200,000 cases. Chlamydia is the most common STD, making up 1.7 million cases last year, but the rise in Gonorrhea is particularly concerning for men. CDC data reveals that Gonorrhea rates doubled in guys from 2016 to 2017.

Great News!  The surgury on my knee went really well, the doctors said.  Early last week I had a bad fall that shattered the top of my right Tibia.  It was not a  break like normal, but a shatter like a rock through a window. The doctors said that because of how it shattered they couldn't just brace/cast it up to heal.  It was going to need a full knee replacement.  So I had the surgery first thing yesterday morning.  I guess the normal time for a sugery like that is about two hours.  The knocked me out just after 10am and when I work up the clock said 3:30pm.  I was like, Whow!

Now I have this crazy brace that goes from about my groin all the way down to my ankle to keep the leg straight.  They said that it is for healing the skin so it doesnt pull the stitches out.  I'll have it on for two weeks, but I can put full weight on it to get to the restroom and take short walks.

So, I'll be laid up for a while.  But I'd rather be able to walk again.
