Hi Guys! You don't need to download webp pics to convert them back to jpg with a photo tool on your computer or with a browser add on! Also you don't need to upload the new jpg pics to post them in jpg format to walls!

The most pics on GBT's and others server have been stored origin as jpg, but when you use the Google browser, you always get a webp link to a new generated web pic on the server!!!

The Google browser (and many other Chrome based browsers) tells to all servers: I wanna have in first line webp links! And on very much servers there is installed an Google Batch Converter Software! Now this software takes the good gif or jpg pic file from the server and generates a new crap compressed webp pic file on the same server, which is used for the Google link!

But but but you can easily erase the file extension webp at the end of the Google webp link, and type gif or jpg at the end! So you can post gif or jpg links to walls!

Sometimes pics have been origin stored not only in gif or jpg format, also in jpeg or png format, then you sadly must try out all 4 possibilities, if you not know the former origin pic file format. A lot of extra work thanks Google!

You can save a lot of time with the use of Firefox with the extension: don't accept webp's!

You can't see *.xoxo pics? Well, when pics get posted with Alfi's Special XOXO-Browser, brand-new improved pic file formats like Alfi's xoxo format becomes prefered!

About .webp...I don't have any issues opening these files so I'm at a lack of understanding about your problem with them, sorry :(

An easy way to convert .WEBP files is to create a batch file. 

Open up notepad, type the following:

ren *.webp *.png

Then save it as .bat file.

Place it in what ever folder that has images you want to convert, then double click. You can also use *.jpeg or *.jpg instead of *.png.

That's my simple work around atm.

.WEBP files were hard for me to appreciate through Windows Photo album. Found an app online to convert to .jpg . No problems now. Also Pixillion Image Converter works great for Multiple files.

As far as this nice boy with that wonderful expression, and manhood to go with it, please let me be invited to that show!
