Zank-you Kaya for the update. I had a lovely time in the country and visited friends in College that where living in tepees in the dead of winter. It was a wild experience to be there in below zero temps and our only heating was a bonfire in the middle of the tepee. Also visited the city of Quebec.
I had planned to visit Quebec this past summer including Montreal, Quebec City. Had a chance to take a paid Alaskan cruise so I did that instead. There's always next year!

Domono,It's not all of the locals, it's a minority who don't like non- French visitors. Most of the place here will receive you with a great pleasure. As in every country in the world there are some idiots.
I loved Quebec but most locals don't like visitors who don't speak French.

In Quebec they speak French and many also speak English. It's a beautiful province as is Ontario where I live...countryside is very similar lots of lakes and forest.

So do they understand English there? like - you don't need to learn Froggie to be understood in Quebec?
